Baltimore Association of America (BANA) organized a meeting of the Nepalese Business Forum in Mt. Everest Restaurant at 7927 Belair Road on Sunday 21, 2010. Around 80 business men were present to participant in this event. Chaired by Mrs.Rabina Thapa, President of BANA, Mr.Ram Prakash Bhandari, Vice-President of BANA, welcome all the participants in the forum and highlights the needs of such forum in the Baltimore where the highest numbers of Nepalese are engaged in their own business in the eastern region of the USA. Baltimore has become a promising destination for Nepalese doing business over the past few years. Most of them are engaged in running the Food business and Baltimore has acknowledged many of the Nepalese Restaurants and Pizza Stores. Others are involved in the IT consultancy, Wholesale and Retail store, Grocery store, Construction, Automobile and gas station, Liquor and Beverages, Music and entertainments, Garment and jewelry store, Coffee shop, Real state, Finance and Taxation, Auditing, Law firm, Travel and Tours to list a few. Many more small business entrepreneurs are in the process to start-up. The biggest hurdle to establish any new business is to acquire information and resources needed due to lack of communications and proper channel to meet the supply chain. The economic down turn and uncertainty in the market has created even more agony among the new comers and we have realized the essence of some kind of platform where knowledge and experience gained can be best utilized and shared among the Nepalese communities, those in need to establish their own business. With this simple objective of creating a knowledge-based community among the entrepreneurs and business men, BANA has formally establish the business forum with the following members, directly involved in nurturing and defining the role and its effectiveness in due course of time. BANA congratulates to this new body of business forum and wish all the success to meet its goal. We would also like to thank all of the participants to find their valuable time to attend the meeting and share their experience and ideas. We have embark the history of creating the business forum, the first of its kind in USA, and need all of your full support to grow in future. Again, we would like to congratulate the following members in the business forum sub-committee:
Note: We are coming soon with the Baltimore Nepalese Business Directory. Thanking you, Executive Committee BANA
